  • About Electronic Cigarettes

    • What are Electronic Cigarettes?

An Electronic Cigarette is an electronic device, which imitates a regular cigarette.

It is a new way for users of regular tobacco based cigarettes to regulate and control their nicotine intake whilst in public places.

    • How do electronic cigarettes work?

Electronic Cigarettes work in the following way:

The user inhales on the electronic cigarette, this causes an air flow sensor to signal to the inbuilt microprocessor, that in turn activates the atomiser.

The atomizer converts the liquid nicotine in the cartridge into a vapour (by atomisation), which is inhaled by the user.

Simultaneously, a water based vapour is released from the atomizer to resemble ‘smoke'. This ‘smoke' has no risk to its user or persons around them.

    • What is in the Cartridge?
The base liquid of the cartridge is a mixture of liquid-nicotine, tobacco extract flavourings and most importantly the NUCIG range do not include Propylene glycol.

    • What powers the electronic device?
A rechargeable lithium battery powers the device.
    • What makes Cheap Electronic Cigarettes better than the competition?

We are independent and are not manufacturers. We are extremely strict in regards to the quality of the items we sell. We take advantage of the newest, most up to date technology and highest quality components in the electronic cigarette brands which we sell (In fact we reject 55% of all the ecigs presented to us to sell). We guarantee you the most vapor with each puff out of any e cigarette currently available on the market with no leaks, no breakage and no worries!

    • Are E Cigarettes legal?

Many countries around the world have placed a smoking ban on indoor locations. The E-cigarette however, does not contain any tobacco or produce tobacco smoke so it does not fall under the smoking ban or other tobacco related laws.

Because of this, they have been a cause of concern to some governments and tobacco companies because they are not subject to tobacco tax.

Furthermore, because of illegal chinese imitations flooding the market, some countries have placed restrictions on sales until measures are put in place to regulate them.

      Country Specific Laws:

      • In the United Kingdom, there are no restrictions placed on usage of electronic cigarettes.
      • In the United States, there are no restrictions placed on usage of the electronic cigarette since it does not contain any tobacco and therefore does not fall under the Clean Indoor Air Act.  however the FDA is currently trying ot ban them.
      • In the European Union, there are no restrictions placed on usage of the electronic cigarette.
      • In the Netherlands, use of the electronic cigarette is allowed but advertising of it is banned.
      • In Australia, there is a ban on the sale of electronic cigarette cartridges in the province of Victoria. The ban only affects the cartridges, not the actual device. News Report
      • In Hong Kong, the sale of electronic cigarettes is banned
      • In Denmark, the sale of electronic cigarettes is legal, but there is a ban on the nicotine cartridges themselves
    • When do I replace my e cigarette cartridge?
A good indication of needing to chage the cartridge is when you begin to notice less amounts of vapor when you “drag on” your cigarette, this is a good indication the nicotine cartridge is running low and will need to be replaced. Cartridge capacity varies by brand but the NUCIG cartridge range is to roughly 5-7 tobacco cigarettes.
    • What are E-Liquids?
E-Liquids are nicotine liquids or juices that fill up a cartridge. These nicotine juices are essentially where the vapor comes from in an electronic cigarette or personal vaporiser. We currently sell eliquids from NUCIG and CigStar but are in the process of importing a higher quality of independent liquids in some exciting flavours and in bottles starting at 5ml which will allow people to try the flavours before investing in bigger bottles.   Basically you can fill up your own cartridges with the nicotine juice of your choice. And YES the new foil top cartridges on the NUCIG range can be refilled but are a bit fiddly.

Alternatively, we know of several customers who bypass the cartridge completely and just drip onto the atomiser directly which is good for 7-10 drags.
    • How long does an electronic cigarette battery last?
The electronic cigarettes which we sell use high quality, high-tech lithium-ion batteries. Depending on the kit these batteries typically last approximately 50 drags or the equivalent of 5 cigarettes before they need to be charged. Most of our starter kits include 2 batteries so one can charge while the other one is in use.  And the NUCIG Advanced Pro 2 Main series includes a Portable charging case which recharges the battery whilst you are out and about.

    • Will it help me stop smoking?

Electronic Cigarettes not only help the user to regulate their nicotine intake, and creates a vapour resembling smoke, but it also  looks like a cigarette; thereby helping the user with the psychological and physical habit  of holding  a regular  cigarette.

Whilst there is no medically proven evidence that electronic cigarettes can be used as a smoking cessation device,
customers regularaly call us very proudly just to tell us how many regulars they no longer smoke.

The Electronic Cigarettes that we sell have been awarded EC and RoHS certification as a safe electronic device.

    • Are Electronic Cigarettes Safe?

Tobacco cigarettes actually contain alot of highly harmful substances even long-term smokers don't know about. According to the Cancer Research UK site, among the 4000 harmful chemicals in tobacco cigarettes, some of them are:

      Ammonia (Toilet Cleaner)

It is used as a flavouring and helps free the nicotine from tobacco and turning it into a gas. Helps you absorb more nicotine, keeping you hooked. Found in dry cleaning fluids.

      Benzene (Pesticide/Petrol Additive)

This is a colourless cyclic hydrocarbon which is obtained from coal and petroleum, used as a solvent in fuel and chemical manufacture. It is contained in cigarette smoke. Known to be highly carcinogenic and linked to leukaemia.

      Acetone (Nail Polish Remover)

Fragrant volatile liquid ketone which is used as a solvent, for example in nail polish remover. It is found in cigarette smoke.

      Formaldehyde (Embalming Fluid)

A colourless highly poisonous liquid, used to preserve dead bodies - also found in cigarette smoke. Known to cause a severe problems such as cancer, respiratory, skin and gastrointestinal problems.

      Tar (Roads)

Particulate matter drawn into lungs when you inhale on a lighted cigarette. Once this is inhaled, smoke condenses and about 70 per cent of the tar in the smoke is deposited in the smoker's lungs.

      Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons

A group of dangerous DNA-damaging chemicals which set cells on the road to becoming tumors.

Carbon Monoxide (CO) (Car Exhaust Fumes)

An odourless, tasteless and poisonous gas, rapidly fatal in large amounts - it's the same gas that comes out of car exhausts and is the main gas in cigarette smoke and formed when the cigarette is lit.

      Lead (Paint)

A dense metal with many industrial uses such as paint. Highly toxic, it stunts your growth, makes you vomit and damages your brain. Others you may recognize are :

Arsenic (rat poison), Hydrogen Cyanide (gas chamber poison)

In 2008, toxological tests were performed on electronic cigarettes and they were found to be much less harmful than the tobacco cigarettes. Further scientific tests in 2009 have also showmn them as safer than cigarettes.

It's important to note that only electronic cigarettes which have had rigorous testing done on them should be purchased. Just make sure that when you buy an electronic cigarette that it's an official brand like NUCIG or Nicocig. Recently, there have been many cheap and untested Chinese imitations flooding the market. These imitations can potentially be extremely hazardous to your health so we would advise you not to buy them!

Electronic cigarettes are rechargeable and refillable so you'll save a fortune in the long run.

You can use the electronic cigarettes to smoke in areas with a smoking ban.

There is no flame, and no tobacco so you can smoke in places where smoking is banned.
