The figures as would be expected showed that sex lives generally improved when making the switch from normal cigarettes to electronic ones however at Ukmedix News we were surprised by scale of the positive results.

In all almost 60% of those questioned said that their sex lives had significantly improved and a further twelve percent said that their sex lives were so good anyway that they could not ‘improve on perfection!
Both men and women underestimate the effect that smoking will have on their sexual function especially as they get older. Most clinical research tends to focus on the effect that cigarettes have on male erectile function and rates of impotence are about 50% higher in smokers who are in their 30s and 40s.
The other thing that quitting smoking does is improve physical stamina so that men are able to go on make love for longer, something that is greatly appreciated by those women who have had to put up with out of breath men panting all over them after a few minutes. From anecdotal evidence it appears that men report better erectile function even after a week of not smoking and notice the return of sudden morning erections.
Electronic cigarettes are a novel way of quitting and they work by producing steam infused with a little bit of nicotine to keep cravings away. They are odourless and pretty harmless except for the nicotine. They dont contain all the chemicals and tar that regular cigarettes have and are an extremely practical tool which can provide a stopgap to quitting cold turkey.
If you have tried to quit and failed you should visit a doctor about getting a smoking cessation remedy. It may be hypnotherapy, the use of medications such as Champix, nicotine gum or electronic cigarettes which will give you that extra help to be smoke free.

Ever since the public became aware about the dangers of smoking a few decades ago, many people have found quitting the tobacco habit hard. Companies have been innovating and manufacturing smoking cessation products for many years now. From nicotine patches to gum, nicotine addicts have been using them to quit their habit.
Electronic cigarettes (also known as e-cigarettes and electric cigarettes)are the newest product on the market. They are designed to look and feel like real cigarettes, even down to emitting artificial smoke however they do not actually contain any tobacco. Users inhale nicotine vapour which looks like smoke without any of the carcinogens found in tobacco smoke which are harmful to the smoker and others around him.
The Electronic cigarette consists of a nicotine cartridge containing liquid nicotine. When a user inhales, a tiny battery powered atomizer turns a small amount of liquid nicotine into vapour. Inhaling nicotine vapour gives the user a nicotine hit in seconds rather than minutes with patches or gum. When the user inhales, a small LED light at the tip of the electronic cigarette glows orange to simulate a real cigarette.
The nicotine cartridges themselves come in various strengths. Most of the major brands, such as the Gamucci electronic cigarette have full strength, half strength and minimal strength. This is designed for people who want to quit smoking. As they get used to using the electronic cigarette, they can gradually reduce the strength they use until they quit.
The main advantages electronic cigarettes have over nicotine patches or gum is firstly, users have the nicotine hit much quicker and secondly, because a big reason why smokers fail to quit suing patches and gum is because they still miss the act of inhaling smoke from a cylindrical object. The electronic cigarette emulates that even down to the smoke.
The electronic cigarette is also beneficial from a financial perspective. A set of five nicotine cartridges costs around £8 and is equivalent to 500 cigarettes. Although the initial investment of an electronic cigarette kit of £50 may seem steep at first, users save money in the long run.
As with many popular products, there have been a great number of cheap Chinese imitations flooding the market. They are usually half the price of a branded electronic cigarette and look like the real thing as well. It is inadvisable to use these because they have not been subject to the same rigorous testing the official electronic cigarettes have and can potentially be highly damaging to the user's health.
As electronic cigarettes become more and more popular, they are increasingly used to smoke in pubs and clubs with a smoking ban. Electronic cigarettes seem to be the next thing and may soon replace real cigarettes in clubs.

Asked recently to write about electronic cigarettes, I have to confess that I had never heard of such a thing. Some internet research later and I discovered that electronic cigarettes are very much a quickly growing concern. A Google search revealed there is no smoke without fire as almost six million results just for the phrase "electronic cigarette" were returned.
What is an electronic cigarette?
The electronic cigarette has been in existence for almost three years and is a clever device aimed at providing smokers with a healthier option. Apparently also useful in helping to reduce and indeed quit smoking altogether.
Now in a fourth generation, electronic cigarettes have become much more user friendly than earlier versions which perhaps were a little too large to encourage a mass market appeal. The "mini" is the most realistic e cigarette to date with its length of 100mm being the same as a conventional cigarette.
An electronic cigarette contains a taste of tobacco but none of the harmful substances found in normal cigarettes allowing smokers cravings to be satisfied without inhaling the many dangerous toxins. Is it all smoke and mirrors? Or can this item really be the saviour it wants to be?
A battery, an atomiser and a renewable nicotine chamber allows the smoker to hold and smoke the electronic cigarette just as they would any other cigarette, even creating a "smoke" like vapour and glow at the end as they draw. The nicotine chamber proves very useful as cartridges are available in different strengths, permitting the user to reduce the amount of nicotine they intake until if they wish, can quit completely.
A nicotine cartridge typically lasts the same time as 15 to 20 cigarettes, thus creating a huge saving to normal costs. Standard, medium, low and no nicotine at all are the various cartridge strengths.
A healthier option altogether it seems, though the benefits don't end there. Due to the electronic cigarette not emitting any dangerous substances, toxins or real smoke for that matter, they are perfectly legal to smoke in public. In winter in particular, normal cigarette smokers have to brave the freezing cold and the rain just for a quick smoking break but this alternative will allow them to stay in their offices, restaurants and pubs.
None smokers also will benefit, as their worries about passive smoking are rendered null and void by the electronic cigarette. A much more sociable environment then!
Upon reflection the electronic cigarette is a healthier, cheaper and environmentally friendly alternative to smoking and as the awareness and the market grows they have great potential to successfully replace the harmful cigarettes we have all come to know and many of us have come to dread and fear.
The electronic cigarette really does seem to bea good idea.

There is a brand new invention that everyone who smokes should know about. It's called the electronic cigarette, also known as a smokeless cigarette or e-cigarette, and it is changing the legal landscape for cigarette smokers around the world.
The patented Electronic Cigarette offers to effectively simulate the experience of smoking an actual cigarette, without any of the health or legal issues surrounding traditional cigarettes.
While Electronic cigarettes look, feel and taste much like traditional cigarettes, they function very differently. You see, electronic cigarettes do not actually burn any tobacco, but rather, when you inhale from an e-cigarette, you activate a "flow censor" which releases a water vapor containing nicotine, propylene glycol, and a scent that simulates the flavor of tobacco. All of which simply means that electronic cigarettes allow you to get your nicotine fix while avoiding all of the cancer causing agents found in traditional cigarettes such as tar, glue, hundreds of additives, and hydrocarbons.
In addition to being healthier than traditional cigarettes, and perhaps most importantly of all, is the fact that electronic cigarettes are completely legal. Because Electronic cigarettes do not involve tobacco, you can legally smoke them anywhere that traditional cigarettes are prohibited such as bars, restaurants, the work place, even on airplanes. Furthermore, electronic cigarettes allow you to smoke with no fears of inflicting harm on others due to nasty second hand smoke.
The refillable cartridges come in a multitude of flavors as well as nicotine strengths. You can get regular, menthol, even apple and strawberry flavored cartridges and nicotine strengths come in full, medium, light, and none. While electronic cigarettes are technically a "smoking alternative" rather than a smoking cessation device, the range of nicotine strengths offers some obvious potential as an aid in the ones attempts to quit smoking and seems to be proving popular within that market.
The nice thing about electronic cigarettes as apposed to say, nicotine patches, is that e-cigarettes produce the same tactile sensation and oral fixation that smokers desire, while satisfying ones tobacco cravings as well. When you take a drag from n electronic cigarette you actually feel the your lungs fill with a warm tobacco flavored smoke and when you exhale the smoke billows out of your lungs just like regular smoking, however, as mentioned, that smoke is actually a much healthier water vapor that quickly evaporates and therefore does not offend anyone in the immediate vicinity.
While electronic cigarettes have been around for a while in various incarnations, it has been recent advances in the technology as well as ever increasing restrictions against smoking that have propelled the e-cigarette into a new found popularity. If you are interested in a healthier alternative to smoking, or if you simply want to have the freedom to smoke wherever and whenever you want, an electronic cigarette might be the solution you've been looking for.

One of the greatest controversies surrounding the electronic cigarette is the concern that it increases the chance that more people will start smoking.
Organisations such as the FDA or Food and Drug Administration in the US say that since electronic cigarettes are advertised as not containing many of the harmful substances contained in tobacco cigarettes, this will entice people to take up a smoking habit when previously there was none.
Dr Adrian Payne said that the device was very unlikely to entice children to start smoking. He is the Managing Director of a Tobacco Harm Reduction Agency and also has over 30 years in post doctoral experience in both the tobacco and pharmaceutical industries.
“In the first place, E-cigarettes are not ‘pocket-money devices. Secondly, I dont think anyone has raised the same concerns about pharmaceutical nicotine inhalators which, in the UK at least, are available over the counter.”
He also mentioned that adults were highly unlikely to take up smoking because of the electronic cigarette.
“Im not aware of any evidence of adult non-smokers using either E-cigarettes or pharmaceutical nicotine inhalators in any number as a gateway to smoking – if there were Im sure we would have heard of it by now. Bad news travels fast!”
He was rather supportive of electronic cigarettes saying: “The amount of nicotine inhaled in e-cigarettes is far safer than that of tobacco cigarettes”. During the interview he also covered worries about Propylene glycol, which is the substance used to produce the “smoke” in electronic cigarettes:
“…based on current knowledge, these concerns seem vastly overplayed when compared to the risks of cigarette smoking.”
Dr Payne was alarmed at the proposed Kennedy Tobacco Bill which is due to be reviewed by the US senate soon, stating that they will effectively mean that alternatives to harmful tobacco cigarettes will be made impossible to be approved in the US:
“E-cigarettes are at risk of being caught in a regulatory trap, with consumers being denied the choice of a far safer product than regular cigarettes that might meet their smoking abstinence needs better than either smokeless tobacco or pharmaceutical nicotine products.”

Sales of electronic cigarettes worldwide are continuing to soar both online and in brick and mortar shops despite a ban on imports of the tobacco replacement devices.
The New York Times has reported that officials are concerned at the increasing popularity of the devices because many have not been subject to strict testing by researchers.
According to the Times, the American electronic cigarette distributor, Smoking Everywhere sued the FDA for the ban on imports claiming that the agency lacks the jurisdiction to do so since the electroni cigarettes are not marketed as smoking cessation products.

Cigarettes have long had a prescence on the battlefield. In both World Wars, cigarettes were rationed to soldiers to maintain morale. Despite the obvious dangers smoking cigarettes brings to your health, there are plenty of nicotine addicts in armed forces around the world.
One problem with cigarettes however, is that no matter how much you try to cover a cigarette with your hands, the familiar red glow will still shine through at night. This does not bode well for soldiers on nighttime missions, especially when there are enemy snipers about.
Another e cigarette company has decided to address this by coming up with the novel idea of using e cigarettes in the field instead of regular tobacco cigarettes. Codenamed the No. 9 Stealth, it will be coloured black for concealment and the LED which simulates the red glow taken out. This will mean that the only thing coming out of the e cigarette will be the nicotine vapour, which itself disapears a few seconds after leaving the smokers lungs.
Not only that, but e cigarettes emit only 10% of the heat a normal tobacco cigarette generates, meaning this reduces the changes that soldiers can be detected by heat sensing devices.
An ex-US army ranger sergeant, Earl Ellis said:”Its amazing how bright a cigarette glow is from a mile away at night. When I was in (the army), they didnt tell you you couldnt smoke at night, but they made it clear you were putting your whole units lives in your hands. If everybody dies tonight, its your fault. Its no joke.”
Although many non-smokers would just say to quit smoking, in reality, its alot harder than they think. Even with the use of nicotine patches, gums and therapy, its an uphill struggle to give up the habit especially if youve been addicted for years.

Attacks against the e cigarette have been continuing despite the fact that the arguments against them have been proven wrong at every turn. One of the main concerns surrounding e cigarettes is that since they do not contain smoke, which gives non-smokers a “coughing phase” before their lungs are accustomed to it, e cigarettes could be taken up by children.
Although this seems like a valid point at first, there are many products on the shelves today which are not exactly safe for children to take yet do not have regulations against them. Products such as nicotine gum and patches could just as easily be obtained by children as e cigarettes. In fact, energy drinks which are freely available can damage childrens bones since the acid contained in these drinks could erode the calcium in their bones causing irreversible damage.
Another fact is that the buying age for e cigarettes is 18 in the UK, compared to 16 for real cigarettes. The popularity of e cigarettes is evident in the fact that more and more people are advocating its use despite governments trying to ban the sale of them. In the US, the FDA is already trying to block shipments of this device but the products keen on getting popular.
However much controversy surrounds these products, it seems that e cigarettes are here to stay given their numerous benefits.

Written by Donald MacLeod - Original story is Here.

WHAT a laugh. What a wind up. What a brilliant idea.
What am I talking about? The Electronic Cigarette.
Bought on the internet for £40 this contraption looks like the real thing.
It lights up at the end, gives out tobacco-flavoured, nicotine-tinged smoke, or rather "vapour" and doesn't smell.
And, most importantly to someone who has been made to feel like a social leper over the past three years because of the anti-smoking fascists, is completely legal and doesn't breach the job-costing smoking ban.
While promoting Oasis at the SECC the other night I decided to walk through the hall to check that everything and everyone was in order.
I also made sure that my cigarette was fully-charged and stuck firmly in my gob.
Brilliant. Security nearly had a hairy fit and five rushed at me within seconds of my arrival, screaming and gesticulating that I should stub the thing out or face ejection.

Double act . . . me and Liam

I also wish I'd taken my camera because you should have seen their faces - they were dumbstruck when I pointed out it couldn't be stubbed out as it wasn't lit and that water vapour was legal and harmless.
If the fag had to go out then so did the band's smoke machine, and if that were the case then they could go and tell Liam or Noel themselves because I certainly wasn't.
Well-filled with vapour and elation I spent the next 20 minutes walking around the hall checking and puffing and during that time I lost count of the amount of times I was dug up and asked to stub my fag out. I suppose it means security were doing their job, albeit a bit too vigorously, but I lost my voice trying to be heard above the noise of the concert.
Still, by the time I finished my walk I was grinning like the Cheshire cat. I had something that could legally shove two fingers up at our liberty-taking establishment. Oh, the joy. It was a brilliant feeling.
I was so happy I rushed outside and had a REAL fag, which if you were using this thing as an aid to stop smoking, defeated the purpose.
I wasn't, I was using it as a total noise-up and it worked - gloriously.
Kick
Backstage everyone, crew, riggers, and catering were in hysterics and even the owners had a chuckle.
I continued to puff merrily away on my electric fag while watching one of the world's greatest acts perform a scintillating set.
Since then I have taken every opportunity to "smoke" it wherever and whenever I choose - in pubs. clubs, taxis, libraries and restuarants and I am more than prepared to stand my ground with anyone who says it is illegal. <A HREF="http://servedby.advertising.com/click/site=751496/bnum=37885512" TARGET="_blank"> <IMG SRC="http://servedby.advertising.com/site=751496/size=300250/bnum=37885512/bins=1/rich=0" WIDTH="300" HEIGHT="250" BORDER="0" ALT="Click to learn more..."> </A> <a href='http://ad.uk.doubleclick.net/adj/sunscotland.co.uk/news;pos=mpu;sz=300x250;cat=null;tile=2;bl=No;ord=1247573331118?' class="border-none" alt="Ad Frame"></a>
No more do I have to stand outside with the rest of the freezing masses every time I want a smoke.
I can now do it legally inside where it's warm, comfortable and where you're served a drink.
Maybe if everyone who smoked bought a contraption like this the pubs might fill up again.
Initially it doesn't give you the kick a real cigarette does, but over time I am sure it will.
It certainly gives you a good laugh and though you didn't intend it - makes you a lot healthier.

Finally - a great nicotine alternative

They look quite like cigarettes, they taste quite like cigarettes and they even smell quite like cigarettes. Yet they are not cigarettes at all and when you ‘light up, they do not burn tobacco. Sounds a bit like a fairy tale doesnt it? Yet it is not.
If someone told you there was a way to feed your cravings for nicotine, and can be used anywhere that smoking is banned, wouldnt you be interested? Electronic Cigarettes are a patented concept that came on the market just over three years ago.
So how does it work?
Instead of a cigarette with tobacco inside, Electronic cigarettes work with a nicotine cartridge. When you 'light up' an E Cig, you are not really smoking in the traditional sense. It works via atomisation to a water vapour which releases the nicotine in the cartridge. You inhale the nicotine so you are tricking your nicotine addiction into accepting this form of nicotine rather than the much more harmful real cigarettes which contain over 4000+ chemicals including Arsenic!
Nicotine with a difference
With electronic cigrattes, you are not inhaling toxins or getting tar clogging up your lungs. So many people have died of smoking related diseases. If you switch to electronic cigarettes you avoid the many health consequences of normal cigarettes. The fact is that electronic cigarettes are much less harmful and as a bonus are also much cheaper in comparison.
At the same time you negate any legal issues with smoking indoors and in public places as you are not really smoking when you use E Cigs. For the untold thousands of smokers who have battled the nicotine demon unsuccessfully, this is good news, and good news for your pocket too as using ecigs can save you up to 90% of your standard smoking spend!
So before you buy your next packet of cigarettes, think about being able to smoke in bars and restaurants and the bliss of having an E cig on a 20 hour international flight. This could be the alternative that you have been looking for.
